The Digital Modeler Assistant (DMA) works in a team with the Exhibit Artists (EA), assisting them to digital layout, detail and process for 3D printing various aspects of the project based on direction from the Sr. Project Designer/Art Director (SPDAD), and the Manager of Digital Sculpting (MDS). This could include and not be limited to rough modeling buildings/objects, detailing buildings/objects, processing models for 3D printing/CNC machines, 3D print model supporting, 3D printing, and 3D printing cleaning/curing/warehousing. This position will last for an estimated 6 months or until the work is complete, with the opportunity to transfer into the temporary Model Maker Assistant position to work on the physical model once digital modeling is complete, if qualified. The applicant must possess the ability to interact with staff (at all levels) in a fast-paced environment, sometimes under pressure, remaining pleasant, flexible, proactive, resourceful and efficient, with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality. Strong communication skills, decision-making, and attention to detail are important. They must work independently with little or no supervision. This position will allow one to impact others through a service mindset centered on making an eternal difference.
