DIGITAL MMJ/CONTENT CREATOR - WMTV

FOX Carolina NewsFitchburg, WI
Onsite

About The Position

WMTV 15 News is southern Wisconsin's home for breaking news, First Alert Weather, and community storytelling. We're expanding our digital presence and investing in the future of local journalism, and that future is video-first, platform-native, and audience-obsessed. We have a dedicated digital team in place, a clear content strategy, and the infrastructure to support this role from day one. This is a digital-first content creator role. You will produce original video content for our social media platforms and website first, and that content will then be adapted for our newscasts. Broadcast is the secondary destination, not the starting point. You'll plug into a system that works, and help make it even stronger. Madison's audience is young, educated, and digitally engaged. The University of Wisconsin community alone represents a massive, underserved digital news audience. The opportunity to build something meaningful here is real.

  • Self-shooting and editing skills — comfortable on both mobile and traditional camera gear
