Digital Merchandising Specialist

MejuriToronto, ON
CA$60,000 - CA$70,000Hybrid

About The Position

Mejuri's digital experience is a direct expression of who we are — and the Digital Merchandising Specialist plays a central role in shaping it. This is a role for someone who thinks in systems and stories at the same time: someone who can look at a category page and see both the data pattern and the customer journey behind it. You'll own the day-to-day execution of site merchandising across our web channel, with a particular focus on translating campaign strategy into compelling, conversion-driven on-site experiences. You're as comfortable pulling a performance report as you are making a judgment call on content and product merchandising. This role sits within the Digital Merchandising team and reports to the Senior Manager of Digital Merchandising.

Requirements

  • 2–4 years of experience in digital merchandising, ecommerce, or a related analytical role — ideally within a DTC or retail environment
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute campaign-aligned merchandising strategies, not just maintain existing setups
  • Strong analytical foundation: comfortable with site analytics tools (Google Analytics, or equivalent), and experienced in building and interpreting performance reports
  • A track record of making data-informed decisions independently — knowing when the numbers tell a clear story and when context matters more
  • Sharp critical thinking: you ask why before you act, and you're not satisfied with surface-level explanations
  • High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment
  • Clear, concise communication — written and verbal — especially when presenting insights or recommendations to cross-functional stakeholders
  • An understanding of — or genuine curiosity about — the intersection of brand, product, and customer experience

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with ecommerce platforms (Shopify or similar), CMS tools, and merchandising or search tools is a strong asset
  • We're building an AI-fluent organization. We welcome candidates at all stages of their AI journey — what matters is curiosity, a willingness to learn, and an openness to working alongside AI tools as part of how we do our best work.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the Digital Merchandising Manager to execute seasonal and campaign strategies, using our established brand framework to plan on-site experiences.
  • Act as the dedicated merchandising owner for assigned campaigns—attending cross-functional briefing meetings to clearly define and request the assets, copy, and creative needs required for site execution.
  • Build campaign landing pages and curate product assortments that balance brand priorities with customer intent, ensuring a seamless path to conversion.
  • Anticipate execution needs ahead of campaign launches—flagging asset gaps, scheduling conflicts, or merchandising opportunities to cross-functional partners early.
  • Monitor everyday web KPIs (conversion rate, click-through rate, add-to-cart) to identify optimization opportunities and inform future campaign execution.
  • Use a data-backed approach to form recommendations; bring clear business cases to the table regarding product placement, sorting logic, and content choices.
  • Conduct regular audits of campaign performance to identify friction points and apply standard A/B testing frameworks to validate quick-win merchandising hypotheses.
  • Pull and interpret data across site analytics and session-recording tools to understand how execution choices impact the customer journey.
  • Identify patterns in site performance—such as a specific category dip or an underperforming placement—and bring forward data-supported solutions rather than just reporting the issue.
  • Provide clear, structured rationale for merchandising decisions to cross-functional partners (Marketing, Creative, UX) who may not live in the data.
  • Collaborate with the Product and UX teams to support personalization and site testing initiatives, ensuring merchandising needs are represented.

Benefits

  • A minimum of four weeks vacation, plus personal days and three religious/cultural observance days.

  • Comprehensive medical and dental benefits, including mental health coverage, and generous personal and sick days for our full-time employees. We also offer bereavement leave, including miscarriage and stillbirth support.
