The UC Irvine Langson Orange County Museum of Art seeks an organized and creative Digital Media Specialist to join the External Affairs team. This role supports shaping both external storytelling and internal interpretive media for the museum and supports the museum's digital presence across social media, web, and email. The Digital Media Specialist bridges storytelling, technology, and strategy to translate exhibitions, programs, and institutional priorities into dynamic, accessible digital content that connect audiences to the museum and its art. This position will manage and grow the museum's social media platforms through both organic content and paid campaigns, create and edit social video, maintain and update web content using WordPress, and format and distribute email communications. This role involves building and maintaining analytics reports to evaluate what's working and bring data-informed insights to the team. This position works collaboratively across the museum to advance the museum's digital presence across social media, video, photography, and other multimedia platforms, while contributing to interpretive and educational content in close collaboration with colleagues across the institution. The successful candidate for this position will bring a working knowledge of current digital platforms and best practices, ensuring all digital initiatives are executed with both creative integrity and institutional alignment. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a genuine interest in art and culture strongly desired.
