About The Position

Monumental Sports & Entertainment (MSE) is seeking a Digital Media Intern to assist in the day-to-day operations of the Marketing Department, with a primary focus on social and digital platforms. This is a paid internship opportunity for individuals looking to gain valuable experience in digital media with a professional sports team. MSE is a large integrated sports and entertainment company that owns and operates multiple sports teams and manages several venues, including Capital One Arena and esports facilities. Requirements

Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
Working experience running social media accounts.
Creative experience in Adobe (Photoshop/Premiere/Lightroom).
Introductory knowledge of photography and video shooting/editing.
Excellent attention to detail.
Strong ability to complete work accurately and in a timely manner.
Reliable transportation and local housing.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

Assist Digital Media team with day-to-day coverage of the Washington Capitals, including on-site game-night responsibilities.
Support the creation of Capitals social media strategy, brainstorm ideas, monitor trends, and apply standard methodologies to drive engagement.
Contribute to the creation of graphics and copy for publication on Capitals social media platforms, website, and emails.
Capture real-time photo/video content at practices, games, and community events.
Assist in shooting/editing video for WashCaps.com.
Track, monitor, and provide insights on social posts for internal and external reporting.
Other duties as assigned.
