About The Position

Under direct supervision, the student will assist staff with various tasks related to digital media editing. This includes recutting existing content for various social media platforms, adding visual elements, sourcing B-roll, designing motion graphics, and organizing project files. The role also involves adapting longer-form content into platform-specific highlights and performing other assigned duties.

Requirements

• Current student at CSUF and is enrolled/registered (fees paid) in a current regular semester as a new or continuing student.
• Student who has completed the prior semester (has not graduated), or who is registered for the subsequent semester.
• In good academic standing (not on academic probation, continued probation, academic dismissal).
• Student who is authorized to work in the United States and can provide employment eligibility documents.
• Ability to learn and perform assigned work.
• Ability to follow oral instructions.
• Ability to work cooperatively with faculty, staff, and other students.
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels.
• Ability to read and write English at a level appropriate to the position.

Responsibilities

• Assist staff with recutting existing Titan TV, Radio, and Universe content for TikTok, Reels, YouTube Shorts, etc.
• Add captions, effects, transitions, and overlays to optimize content for each platform.
• Source B-roll or design simple motion graphics to enhance content.
• Deliver weekly batches of content to the Digital Content Coordinator.
• Keep project files organized and shareable across departments.
• Adapt podcasts, video interviews, or recorded events into platform-specific highlights.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
