About The Position

Tyto Athene is searching for a Digital Media & Communications Lead who is a creative storyteller and digital strategist to lead our digital media and communications function. You will be the driving force behind our day-to-day digital presence — owning content and social media strategy, leading email and newsletter communications, supporting paid and organic campaigns, and bringing Tyto Athene's brand narrative to life through compelling content and video. In this role you will work closely with the Director of Marketing and collaborate across the organization — from engineers and technical experts to business development and operations — to surface wins, success stories, and capabilities that demonstrate what Tyto Athene does and why it matters. You will work with our in-house graphic designers, giving you the firepower to focus on content strategy, storytelling, and copy. You are a creative storyteller and disciplined digital operator, equally comfortable writing a compelling narrative, building a content calendar, supporting a paid campaign, and reporting on performance. You are highly organized, editorially strong, self-directed, and collaborative. You enjoy turning complex, technical ideas into content that resonates, whether that means collaborating with an engineer to understand a capability, partnering with business development on a campaign, or finding the story inside a contract win. You are comfortable working across all levels of an organization and presenting recommendations and insights to senior leadership.

Requirements

  • 3–7 years in digital marketing, content strategy, social media, or communications
  • Strong HubSpot proficiency building landing pages, email workflows, list management, campaigns, and reporting dashboards
  • Hands-on Google Analytics experience
  • Comfortable working in WordPress
  • Experience supporting ABM campaigns and/or paid social, with an understanding of how to market to a defined set of target accounts
  • Exceptional writing and copywriting skills across formats
  • Strong organizational skills and content calendar management experience
  • Must have direct, hands on experience with the following tools and platforms: HubSpot, Google Analytics, Wordpress, LinkedIn Campaign Manager, MS Office Suite, and Video Production and Editing tools

Nice To Haves

  • Video production or storytelling experience — comfortable collaborating on short and long-form video content
  • Familiarity with government contracting (GovCon) or defense technology, a plus, not a requirement
  • Portfolio or examples of digital content, copywriting, or brand storytelling across formats
  • Based in or near the Washington, D.C. metro area

Responsibilities

  • Champion Tyto Athene's brand narrative through compelling copy, editorial content, and video. Partner with the CTO organization, Recruiting, Operations, and other departments to tell the stories that matter most — capability showcases, wins, contract successes, and the people behind the mission. Craft strategic video content, including series and episodic formats, in collaboration with our graphic designers.
  • Develop and implement a content strategy spanning social media, email, newsletters, and the company website. Lead planning, creation, scheduling, and publishing across Tyto Athene and our subsidiary stackArmor's digital channels, primarily LinkedIn, ensuring consistency in voice, cadence, and quality.
  • Support and execute paid social and ABM campaigns across LinkedIn and other platforms, with a focus on reaching defined target accounts across agencies, partners, and key decision-makers.
  • Track and analyze performance metrics across all digital channels using HubSpot, Google Analytics, and other relevant tools. Monitor trends and surface opportunities and challenges to senior leadership.
