Digital Media Activation Manager We create and deliver tailored marketing strategies for Expedia Group’s brands, focusing on establishing strong connections and cohesive experiences for travelers and partners. We leverage our functional expertise and creative excellence to build trust and loyalty for our brands through innovative marketing approaches and technology. We are looking for a curious, creative and growth oriented digital media professional to join Expedia Group’s in-house Digital Media team, leading omni-channel digital media activations for Vrbo. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Digital Media Strategy & Activation, you'll own the planning and activation of multi-market brand media campaigns for Vrbo, with a focus on the Americas markets. You will be a high performing individual contributor who consistently applies and enhances their media planning, activation and optimization capabilities, with the ability to operates largely independently and mentor junior colleagues.

Requirements

  • 7+ years’ experience in digital media activation roles in agency, trading desk or in-house media teams
  • Experience with large budgets, multiple markets and, collaborating across teams
  • Experience planning digital media across multiple channels and platforms
  • Hands on experience with media programmatic media buying platforms including: Google Ads, Amazon DSV, and Trade Desk
  • Proficient at taking media briefs, developing digital activation strategies, managing and optimizing campaigns
  • Experience in media measurement solutions, reporting on media effectiveness, and deriving insights from test results and media performance
  • Ability to quickly adapt to shifting priorities and work with multiple team members and cross-functional stakeholders
  • An excellent communicator

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement best-in-class multi-media digital media plans that drive brand outcomes in response to annual and campaign briefs from stakeholders across the wider marketing organization.
  • Develop strong and effective working relationships with key digital media partners to build effective plans, improve media efficiency, and identify impactful media partnership and activation opportunities
  • Identify, implement and document testing opportunities and results, experimenting with new and existing digital partners, ad formats and innovations. Be comfortable presenting learnings to stakeholders, recommending optimizations and acting on those learnings.
  • Hands on activation of media via programmatic and other media buying platforms (The Trade Desk, Google Ads, Meta), and ongoing optimization to drive performance against brand goals.
  • Build digital media channel strategy and tactics into holistic multi-media plans, clearly articulating the role of digital channels and partners within the mix, laddering into key audience and business objectives. Work effectively with in-house planning and external agency teams, adopting defined planning processes and workflows
  • Partner with Integrated Marketing team and stakeholders to traffic creative effectively into campaigns, monitor performance and make recommendations based on observed insights to maximize creative and media performance
  • Partner with Analytics develop measurement and test plans, contribute to campaign reporting and insights generation
  • Timely and accurate inputs into key media planning documents, including strategy docs, media plans, spec sheets
  • Provide support and mentorship to junior colleagues, delegate work effectively to
  • Support automation programs to drive workflow efficiencies in media planning, activation and optimization workflows, striving for continuous improvement
