The Job We are seeking a kick-ass Digital Marketing Manager to join our Tribe! The Digital Marketing Manager will oversee Velvet Taco’s digital ecosystem, driving growth through data-informed strategies and high-performing execution across all digital channels. This role will lead loyalty program strategy and execution for The Velvet Room, manage our mobile app, and optimize and maintain online listings to enhance brand discoverability and drive sales. The Digital Marketing Manager will also be responsible for overseeing website maintenance and SEO, managing third-party delivery partnerships and channel strategies, executing paid media campaigns, and supporting external catering platforms. Provide digital performance and brand reputation reporting, support local restaurant digital needs, and continuously optimize digital touchpoints to drive online awareness, traffic, and sales.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 5+ years of experience in digital marketing and/or loyalty, preferably in the restaurant, hospitality, retail, or adjacent consumer industries.
  • Experience leading loyalty and CRM initiatives, with exposure to programs that drive acquisition, retention, frequency, and guest lifetime value.
  • Strong analytical capabilities, with the ability to work across multiple data sources and translate insights into actionable recommendations.
  • Proficiency in Google Analytics and familiarity with other digital analytics and reporting tools.
  • Working knowledge of social listening tools and/ or platforms
  • Demonstrated interest in guest data, guest segmentation, and purchase behavior to inform digital marketing efforts.
  • Curious, data-driven mindset with a desire to understand the drivers of digital customer engagement and behavior.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Loyalty & CRM Leadership: Lead the strategy and execution of The Velvet Room loyalty program, optimizing the end-to-end digital experience to increase member acquisition and engage and retain our audience of 1M loyalty members through 1:1 targeting, personalization, guest journey marketing, and win-back campaigns. Oversee points program performance to drive business outcomes.
  • Digital Channel Performance: Own performance across Velvet Taco’s digital channels, including the website, mobile app, online listings, and reputation management tool, by partnering closely with cross-functional teams and external resources to ensure scalable, high-impact execution.
  • Data, Analytics & AI: Establish and monitor key performance metrics across Google Analytics and other platforms, using AI and advanced analytics to identify trends, optimize performance, and translate insights into actions that inform business and marketing strategies across markets.
  • Growth and Marketing Strategy: Serve as a key contributor to the marketing and digital roadmap, shaping calendars, priorities, and initiatives that drive sales, enhance the guest experience, and unlock incremental revenue streams. Support overall sales and marketing department goal planning, strategy, and company initiatives.
  • Promotions: Support the brand promotion strategy and lead the setup, partnering with key marketing and cross-functional team members.
  • Third-Party Channels: Oversee third-party delivery channel strategy, including DoorDash, Uber Eats, GrubHub, ezCater, and others, with a focus on optimizing performance to maximize sales on each platform.
  • Reporting & Financial Alignment: Partner with Operations, Finance, and IT to develop and share actionable data and deliver against annual loyalty and digital performance plans, including membership growth, revenue, expenses, and profitability.
  • Restaurant-Centered Philosophy: Serve as a trusted partner to operations and restaurant teams, ensuring that all strategies, tools, and initiatives reflect restaurant teams' needs and realities while advancing brand goals.
