About The Position

Drake Cooper is looking for a Digital & Linear Media Specialist to join their media team. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about the strategy behind media campaigns and enjoys optimizing them in real-time. The position involves analyzing performance data, staying updated on digital trends, and finding innovative ways to connect brands with audiences. The role is approximately 70% focused on digital channels (Social, Programmatic Display, Native, Streaming/CTV, and Display) and 30% on Out-of-Home media. The specialist will be responsible for smart buying, thoughtful optimizations, maintaining strong vendor relationships, and strategic thinking. The ideal candidate is curious, analytical, proactive, and enjoys balancing data, creativity, and fast-paced campaign execution in a dynamic agency environment.

Requirements

  • 1–3 years of experience in digital media buying or related media roles
  • Experience buying across social, programmatic, streaming, display, and digital media platforms
  • Curiosity and comfort with emerging AI technologies, with the ability to thoughtfully incorporate AI into day-to-day workflows to increase efficiency and uncover insights.
  • Working knowledge of Out-of-Home media fundamentals
  • Strong understanding of digital targeting, bidding, optimization, and media buying best practices
  • Analytical mindset with experience in campaign reporting and performance analysis
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with platforms such as The Trade Desk, DV360, and other premium media vendors is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Execute and optimize media buys across Social, Programmatic Display, Native, Streaming/CTV, and Out-of-Home channels
  • Partner with third-party Out-of-Home vendors on placements, avails, and recommendations
  • Build and maintain relationships with key digital media vendors and streaming partners
  • Oversee proposals, pacing, trafficking, reporting, and campaign performance across owned channels
  • Collaborate with Media Planning teams on targeting strategy, placements, bidding, and campaign configuration
  • Monitor day-to-day campaign pacing, optimizations, testing, and performance recommendations
  • Provide reporting and analytics support, including coordinating standardized vendor reports
  • Share campaign insights, platform updates, and optimization recommendations with internal teams
  • Serve as an internal resource for CTV and Display creative best practices and evolving platform trends
  • Partner with internal teams on tracking, conversions, audience targeting, and campaign measurement
  • Conduct competitive research and stay informed on industry trends, emerging technologies, and platform updates
  • Provide recommendations that strengthen broader digital and media strategies
  • Mentor and help develop newer buyers across streaming, programmatic, and digital media platforms
  • Participate in client meetings related to streaming, programmatic, annual planning, reporting, and media strategy
