About The Position

Labcorp is seeking a Digital Imaging Assistant to join our team in Madison, WI. This role involves performing various digital imaging tasks for scientific studies, including gross macroscopic photography, photomicrography, and digital slide scanning. The assistant will also be responsible for digital image processing, training material development, and providing administrative support to pathologists. Key duties include managing digital pathology systems, supporting imaging services operations, maintaining client relationships, and ensuring compliance with protocols and regulations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in biology, pathology, anatomy, biomedical sciences, histology, medical sciences, animal science, chemistry, microbiology, biochemistry
  • 1 or more years of experience in photographic principles and techniques, digital imaging technology and systems.
  • 1 or more years of experience in technical writing, data and complex protocol interpretation.

Nice To Haves

  • 3 or more months of experience in performing scientific presentations and preparing scientific illustrations for publication

Responsibilities

  • Perform study-related Client, Study Director, or Pathologist requested gross macroscopic photography.
  • Perform study-related Client, Study Director, or Pathologist requested photomicrography.
  • Perform study-related Client, Study Director, or Pathologist requested digital slide scanning.
  • Perform digital photography related to training or other managerial needs, including training manual development and illustration, presentation assembly, and multi-media applications.
  • Perform digital image processing including the assembly of photographic material intended for Client delivery.
  • Perform digital pathology system administration and aid Pathologists staff in digital pathology functions.
  • Support Digital Imaging Services including scheduling, shipping, costing/billing, SOP/Policy development, necessary liaison roles (QA/Study Direction/Client/Pathologist/Management/Security), equipment acquisition, new technique/procedure development, and other duties as deemed necessary.
  • Maintain client contacts and establish new contacts for specific services.
  • Review digital imaging projects (including images and related data), ensuring compliance with protocol, corporate policy, and regulatory requirements prior to client submission.
  • Provide administrative support to the pathologists.
