About The Position

Hoist is seeking a Graphic Artist for part-time, as-needed work, with the possibility of contract work, to create visually compelling 3D product renderings. The role calls for strong attention to detail, aesthetic judgment, and proficiency in design software. The artist will translate ideas into engaging designs that help the sales team and vendors conceptualize new and existing products. The position is based in person in Poway within the Engineering department. Compensation is $25.00 to $27.00 per hour. Requirements

Proven experience as a Graphic Artist, Graphic Designer, or in a similar role; portfolio required.
Proficiency in Blender or KeyShot.
Strong understanding of design principles, color theory, typography, and layout.
Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Ability to work on multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
Excellent organizational skills.

Nice To Haves

Experience with Composer or SolidWorks.
Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, Visual Arts, or a related field, or currently pursuing such a degree.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with the sales department to conceptualize and design custom fitness equipment configurations.
Use Blender or KeyShot to create and edit design assets.
Work alongside sales staff in vendor meetings as needed.
Verify the feasibility and functionality of equipment designs with engineers and designers.
Ensure designs are on-brand, consistent in style, and meet project goals.
Revise and update designs based on feedback from clients or the sales team.
Maintain an organized digital file system for equipment configuration assets and design work.
Stay current with design trends, software updates, and emerging technologies.
Create product dimensions or manuals when required.
Create product decals and stickers.
