About The Position

The Department of Mathematics and Computer Science and Philosophy and Religions seeks an adjunct instructor to teach a course in Digital Ethics in the Fall 2026 semester. The Digital Ethics course is targeted at both students in technology majors as well as students interested in using the course to fulfill their Values and Ethics general education requirement. Students in the course read, discuss, and write about ethical and social implications of emerging digital technologies including artificial intelligence, data privacy, algorithms, social media, cybersecurity, and intellectual property. Application of ethical frameworks to these areas is also considered.

Requirements

  • Masters degree or higher in computer science, philosophy, law, public policy, information systems, or related disciplines.
  • Ability to engage students in thoughtful discussion of the ethical challenges posed by modern technology.
