About The Position

King County Housing Authority (KCHA) is recruiting for a motivated, community-focused, and highly collaborative Digital Equity Specialist based in Tukwila. The selected candidate will play an important role in supporting KCHA's digital equity initiatives through resident engagement, program coordination, data analysis, partnership development, and outreach efforts. The individual selected will work closely with the Digital Equity Manager to design, support, and coordinate digital equity initiatives that will expand resident access to affordable broadband, digital devices, and digital literacy opportunities. This position will work internally leading new cross-departmental efforts and externally with residents, communities, private and non-profit partners.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Public Administration, Public Policy, Library Science, Social Services, or a related field AND Considerable experience (3+ to 5 years) developing and implementing digital equity strategies, social service programs, community partnerships, or program management initiatives OR An equivalent combination of experience and education that provides the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of this position.
Demonstrates strong project coordination and program management skills with the ability to meet deadlines and manage competing priorities.
Works effectively and productively with others; participates in and fosters teamwork, builds rapport, and acts as a positive influence within the team.
Possesses strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with a variety of audiences and stakeholders.
Establishes and maintains positive working relationships with residents, community organizations, internet service providers, government agencies, and internal staff.
Applies knowledge of digital equity strategies, best practices, and community engagement principles.
Uses systems to organize, prioritize, and track information and work in progress; maintains accurate records and demonstrates strong attention to detail while managing multiple priorities.
Proficiency using Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint; utilizes agency software and databases.
Uses critical, creative, and reflective thinking skills to analyze challenges, identify solutions, and implement recommendations.
Collects, interprets, and communicates program data and outcomes effectively.

Responsibilities

Support digital equity programming by partnering with organizations to recruit residents and Housing Choice Voucher participants, conducting outreach and engagement activities, and facilitating resident participation in digital equity initiatives.
Coordinate with KCHA staff across departments on projects, programs, and initiatives related to digital equity.
Coordinate assigned programs and support services to ensure successful implementation and quality delivery of services.
Collect, track, analyze, and interpret program data and performance measures; identify opportunities for continuous improvement and make recommendations accordingly.
Assist with program planning, implementation, evaluation, and reporting activities.
Prepare reports, funding proposals, budgets, work plans, presentations, and outreach materials.
Develop and maintain relationships with community organizations, stakeholders, service providers, and collaborative partners.
Represent KCHA through meetings, speaking engagements, networks, and regional collaboratives.
Support contracted services by coordinating deliverables, monitoring outcomes, and ensuring accurate reporting.
Assist with program budgets, expenditure tracking, and recommendations related to program effectiveness and resource utilization.
Maintain consistent and reliable attendance with the ability to arrive on time.
