Enterprise, Test & Technology – Digital & Systems Engineering has an exciting opportunity for a Digital Engineering Supply Chain Process Engineer to join our dynamic team in Everett, WA or Seattle, WA. The successful candidate will support the Functional Chief Engineer of Digital & Systems Engineering in the development and deployment of strategies, tactics, processes and tools that enhance Boeing’s utilization of digital engineering in suppliers. The position will interact with business units and functions both inside Engineering and with Supply Chain to create and manage Digital Engineering messaging outside the company, assessment processes, and process changes to incorporate Digital Engineering competency into the supply chain value stream. This position will partner closely with Supply Chain Functional Excellence teams and program experts to create mutually value-added solutions for utilization of current and future state digital engineering work products. Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including Subject Matter Expert and Senior Digital Engineering Supply Chain Process Engineers. This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Requirements

  • Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
  • 10+ years of work experience in an engineering position (design, analysis, product support, etc.)
  • 5+ experience creating, interpreting and/or enforcing technical requirements
  • 5+ years experience developing cross functional processes, creating and managing engineering deliverables (i.e. Engineering / Manufacturing, Engineering / Supply Chain, Engineering / Program Management, Engineering / Quality, etc.)
  • 5+ years experience with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) and Configuration Management systems, Change Management, and PLM Processes and Tools

Nice To Haves

  • Level 5 : 10 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 5+ years of experience collaborating with suppliers/vendors to deliver products and services in a development program
  • 5+ years of experience working across multiple programs and locations
  • 5+ years of experience working with U.S. Department of Defense contracts
  • Experience developing business requirements for implementation in Information Technology systems
  • Familiarity and experience supporting supply chain procurement processes
  • Good written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Leads the development of company or business unit digital engineering supplier strategies
  • Provides technical and business guidance to critical suppliers and programs
  • In partnership with supply chain, lead strategic digital engineering supply chain activities to support suppliers and programs
  • Leads digital engineering strategic supplier assessment process for digital engineering
  • Develop Design Practices and lead Technical Design Reviews involving elevated risk of digital engineering supply chain decisions
  • Develop and manage supplier readiness criteria for digital engineering utilization
