About The Position

Join our Project Delivery Digital Engineering team and help improve how engineering standards, Building Information Modeling (BIM) data, and IDEA digital workflows are structured, connected, and used across capital projects and connected with facility lifecycle. As a Digital Engineering Data and AI Engineer, you will develop scalable data and AI solutions that enable standards-driven designs, streamlined workflows, and data-informed decisions. You will partner closely with the BIM Data Model Lead, who defines BIM data models and standards, to build solutions that apply those standards across analytics, digital workflows, and AI-enabled applications. Your work will help teams make better decisions, improve consistency, and strengthen Digital Engineering capabilities across Project Delivery.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or equivalent degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field required.
  • 2–4 years of experience delivering data, analytics, or AI solutions
  • Proficiency in Python or R and strong SQL skills
  • Experience building data models, pipelines, dashboards, or applications using structured and unstructured data
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to turn business needs into practical technical solutions
  • Clear communication skills with the ability to explain insights to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • English proficiency, both oral and written, is required

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Digital Engineering, BIM, or model-based workflows
  • Familiarity with Project Delivery Standards or structured requirements frameworks
  • Experience with data-driven workflows
  • Exposure to AI, machine learning, natural language processing, or automation
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure, along with big data tools and ML lifecycle concepts including deployment, monitoring, and MLOps fundamentals.
  • Familiarity with NLP techniques such as RAG, agentic workflows, and prompt engineering, plus strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Build structured data models that translate engineering standards and requirements into reusable digital assets
  • Apply BIM data models and standards to support analytics, reporting, and workflow integration
  • Support consistent and scalable use of BIM data across projects
  • Design and deliver solutions that support the IDEA lifecycle (Ideation, Definition, Execution, Assessment)
  • Build automated workflows that validate designs against PD Standards and support model-based decisions
  • Improve quality, consistency, and efficiency across project delivery
  • Design and develop AI-enabled tools and applications that support engineering workflows
  • Build search and knowledge capabilities that allow teams to find and use standards and BIM data
  • Develop automated workflows that improve productivity and reduce manual effort
  • Create dashboards and reports that turn BIM and engineering data into clear insights
  • Support data-informed decisions across project delivery and lifecycle performance
  • Use analytics and machine learning to identify risks and improvement opportunities
  • Build and maintain data pipelines that connect BIM platforms (e.g., Revit, FORMA, Building Connected, etc), Digital Engineering tools, and structured data sources
  • Ensure data quality, consistency, and alignment with defined BIM standards
  • Partner with the BIM Data Model Lead to align solutions with BIM standards and governance
  • Work with project delivery, project controls, engineering, design, and construction safety to define needs and deliver digital solutions
  • Support adoption of Digital Engineering tools and BIM-enabled workflows
