About The Position

The Digital Engineer will investigate and conduct studies on the specifications and requirements of projects. This role involves performing original RF and Digital circuit design and analysis, and supplying technical assistance and coordination to designers and staff. The engineer will provide directions to Engineering Technicians and Associate Engineers during breadboarding, wiring, debugging, and testing. Responsibilities include designing and planning wiring layouts and schematics, planning tests, arranging test setups, and checking device performance during tests. The role also involves providing technical assistance for spare parts lists, special tools, test equipment, and other engineering data, as well as specifying the procurement of specialized components and test equipment. Additionally, the Digital Engineer will assist in the preparation of bids and proposals and utilize PC-based Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) programs of moderate complexity.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree Electrical engineering (BSEE) or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years prior experience or master’s degree and a minimum of 2 years prior experience.
  • 3+ years of RF Microwave and/or Digital Engineering experience in design, development, analysis and investigation of electronic devices and systems required.
  • Familiar with Modeling and Simulating.
  • Familiar with Optimizing new conceptual circuits along with evaluating, testing, tuning, and modifying circuits.
  • Familiar with Amplifier design using both packaged components and bare die.
  • Familiar with Microprocessor programming languages: C, C++.
  • Familiar with Real time operating systems (RTOS).
  • Familiar with Knowledge of hardware development as it pertains to embedded software.
  • Familiar with Microprocessors from Microchip (PIC).
  • Familiar with Verilog or VHDL to describe digital circuits for FPGA design.
  • Familiar with Xilinx FPGA and development tools.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S. (e.g. Green Card holder), or a protected individual as defined by the International Traffic in Arm Regulations (ITAR).
