About The Position

Introduction to digital logic: logic gates, combinational circuit analysis using Boolean algebra and Karnaugh maps, number systems and codes, minimization techniques applied to combinational logic systems; flip-flops, multivibrators, counters and shift registers. (Cross-listed as PC220.)

Requirements

  • Master’s degree.
  • Degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Demonstrated expertise in the subject field.
  • Recent scholarly activity related to the course content.
  • Ability to perform duties as outlined in the Contract Teaching Faculty and Part-time Librarians Collective Agreement.
  • Ability to provide a CV.
  • Ability to complete and submit a Candidate Application Form (CAF).
  • For external applicants: Names and Contact Information for Referees.

  • For external applicants: Verification of highest degree.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver lectures for CP220/PC220 MC1 – Digital Electronics.
  • Manage a class size of approximately 80 students.
  • Adhere to the schedule of Tuesday, Thursday 1600-1720 for the Fall 2026 term (September 1 – December 30).
  • Utilize in-person mode of delivery for instruction.
  • Potentially perform marking and grading duties, with supplementary remuneration as per Article 28.2 of the Collective Agreement.
  • Potentially coordinate large classes or multi-section courses, as per Article 28.3 of the Collective Agreement.
