About The Position

The Boeing Company, Space, Intelligence & Weapons Systems is seeking a Digital Electronics Circuit & Unit Hardware Design Engineer (Lead or Senior) to join their Space Digital Products & Electronics team in El Segundo, CA. This role involves designing and implementing digital circuitry for satellite functionality, with a focus on digital signal processing, data communication, digital control systems, and embedded systems. The position offers a unique "cradle-to-grave" satellite development experience with an on-site factory and co-located electronics teams, fostering high collaboration and rapid concept-to-reality turnarounds. Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret, Top Secret or Top Secret SCI clearance Post-Start is required.
  • 5+ years of experience with Digital Electronics, Digital Circuits, or Digital Electronics Hardware

Nice To Haves

  • 10+ years of experience with Digital Electronics, Digital Circuits, or Digital Electronics Hardware
  • Experience with Digital, Analog and Power Electronics
  • Experience with circuit design and analysis
  • Experience with Firmware, Microprocessor or other Hardware
  • Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science Engineering or other related advanced degree

Responsibilities

  • Design and development of state-of-the art digital circuit & unit hardware / digital electronics for aerospace applications
  • Duties will include electronics design, requirements and interface definition, modeling and analysis, testing, performance and design verification
  • Technical support for production and test of electronic products
  • Support projects involving Electronics design.
  • Maintain detailed requirements and specifications for various electronic products.
  • Leads analysis of customer and system requirements and development of architectural approaches and detailed specifications for various electronic products.
  • Leads development of high-level and detailed designs consistent with requirements and specifications.
  • Leads reviews of testing and analysis activity to assure compliance to requirements.
  • Identifies, tracks and statuses technical performance measures to measure progress and ensure compliance with requirements.
  • Leads activities in support of Supplier Management with make/buy recommendations and other technical services.
  • Coordinates engineering support throughout the lifecycle of the product.
  • Plans research projects to develop concepts for future product designs to meet projected requirements.
  • Works under minimal direction.
