The Washington Post is seeking a sharp, creative and digitally fluent editor to help shape how our journalism is presented, discovered and experienced across our digital platforms. Digital Desk Editors are core members of the News Hub, the team responsible for sharpening our journalism, elevating its presentation and accelerating our connection with audiences wherever they consume our work. This is a role at the center of our digital report — blending editorial judgment, audience insight and platform expertise to ensure our journalism is distinctive, engaging and impeccably executed. The ideal candidate brings exceptional news judgment and a deep understanding of how storytelling and platform strategy intersect. They are as comfortable line editing a complex enterprise story as they are crafting compelling headlines, programming the homepage and app, or writing urgent breaking-news alerts. They understand that presentation is journalism — and that precision, creativity and speed are equally essential. This position is based in our Washington, D.C., newsroom and includes night, weekend and some holiday work.
