The Digital Designer is a detail-driven creative who designs engaging, user-centered digital experiences across web and campaign-driven touchpoints. This role sits within an in-house creative team and partners closely with UI/UX, development, and marketing stakeholders to deliver high-impact, on-brand solutions aligned with business and user needs. The ideal candidate blends visual design fundamentals with interactive thinking, light motion sensibility, and hands-on experience working within CMS-driven environments. Digital Designer will maintain brand consistency across all touchpoints and deliver high-quality designs that align with the brand’s vision and business goals. This role also leverages emerging AI-powered tools and workflows to enhance efficiency and iteration.

Requirements

• Strong foundation in digital design principles: layout, typography, color, hierarchy, and usability
• Understanding of user-centered design principles, wireframing, prototyping, and UI component creation
• Some experience designing interactive and responsive web experiences
• Ability to think in systems, components, and reusable patterns
• Exposure to light motion design and interaction patterns with a curiosity about how motion, behavior and interactivity elevate the user experience
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator) and working knowledge with Figma with a strong understanding of how to use them for both UI design and digital asset creation
• Strong experience with CMS platforms, preference for Drupal 11
• Familiarity with Bynder (Digital Asset Management) and Monday.com or similar workflow tools
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain design rationale, systems, and technical considerations clearly
• Experience creating guidelines or process frameworks for cross-functional teams
• Comfort facilitating conversations, feedback sessions, or informal training with peers
• Ability to synthesize input from multiple stakeholders and turn it into aligned, actionable direction
• HTML/CSS literacy sufficient to understand constraints and feasibility
• Experience collaborating with developers and designing within technical limitations
• 3+ years of professional experience in digital design or graphic design, with a focus on web and mobile interfaces
• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Web Design, Digital Media, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• A robust portfolio demonstrating strength in web design and other digital collateral (email, social, landing pages, digital advertising), systems thinking and real-world execution
• Strong attention to detail, organization and production quality

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with AI-powered design tools (e.g., generative image tools, AI-assisted layout, content generation, or automation workflows)
• Ability to critically evaluate and refine AI-generated outputs to ensure brand alignment and quality

Responsibilities

• Create dynamic designs for web, email, social, digital presentations, digital literature, tradeshow experiences and wireframes, and prototypes using Adobe Creative Suite and Figma
• Incorporate micro-interactions, motion concepts, and interactive behaviors into design solutions where appropriate (UI animations, transitions, hover states, simple Lottie/GIF-style assets)
• Translate brand systems into flexible, scalable digital experiences that feel modern and engaging
• Act as a primary creative partner to the UI/UX team, participating in regular syncs, reviews, and working sessions
• Bridge creative, technical, and strategic needs by translating vision into scalable execution - documenting best practice and informally training designers on new processes, tools, or design system updates
• Help evolve and improve cross-functional workflows, ensuring handoffs between Creative, UI/UX, and development are efficient and consistent
• Design with CMS constraints and capabilities in mind, partnering closely with developers to ensure feasible, production-ready solutions
• Support page building and content layout within CMS platforms, with a strong preference for Drupal 11 experience
• Apply HTML/CSS literacy to inform layout decisions, component behavior, and handoff clarity
• Participate in design reviews, feedback loops, and iteration cycles
• Maintain brand consistency across all digital touchpoints
• Apply and evolve design system standards within day-to-day execution
