Digital Custody Strategy & Execution Lead, Vice President
About The Position
State Street's Digital Division is seeking a Digital Custody Strategy & Execution Lead, VP with a strong understanding of both traditional and digital asset operations, coupled with extensive institutional experience. This role is responsible for assisting in the design and/or execution of the operational model for sub-custody and self-custody within Global Delivery teams, contributing to the enterprise strategy for State Street Digital. This is an opportunity for an agile manager to play a leading role in building the future digital infrastructure of financial markets. The position reports directly to the Head of Digital Custody Operations and involves close collaboration with Product Development, IT, Business, Governance & Controls, Risk, Compliance, State Street Global Delivery, and Sales teams. Engagement with external partners and vendors is also a key aspect, from product development through to testing and operational delivery in approved jurisdictions. The role requires knowledge of traditional investment services operations (custody, payments, trading, securities servicing, process, compliance, documentation) and a broad understanding of next-generation technologies like DLT, digital custody, cryptocurrencies, wallet technology, and tokenization. Experience in business transformation and change management is also necessary.
Requirements
- Significant experience in operations and client service for traditional and digital products for large institutions.
- Hands-on experience with digital assets and wallets / distributed ledger technology.
- Experience in change management in business transformation initiatives.
- Understanding of relevant enterprise financial technology solutions and related governance.
- Excellent presentation, communications, collaboration, and influencing skills.
- Proven ability to build relationships with internal and external partners and stakeholders.
- Fluent in English – oral and written.
- A can-do attitude coupled with a risk- and operational excellence mindset.

Responsibilities
- Own the overall front-to-back management or related processes in custody for State Street Digital, including reporting, change management of processes, and required resources.
- Contribute to the delivery of the enterprise strategy as a thought partner by challenging the design and implementation of sub- and self-custody processes, procedures, and documentation for smooth production operations.
- Ensure SLAs with internal partners meet the needs required for seamless day-to-day service delivery, with periodic reviews.
- Provide regular product/service updates, including risk/KPI metrics, to ensure full transparency and clarity of service delivery for State Street Digital Management.
