About The Position

The essential function of the position within the organization is digitally recording and annotating court proceedings and hearings; transcribing recordings; and performing research. The position works under direct supervision according to set procedures.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED
  • One year of college or vocational school education in office skills, computer operation or a closely related field
  • Two years of related experience
  • Strong computer skills
  • Knowledge of the rules of English grammar, spelling, and punctuation
  • Ability to learn, use and understand digital recording systems and software
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, automated environment with interruptions
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality concerning sensitive issues before the court
  • Ability to multi-task and type accurately
  • Ability to compose, proofread, and edit correspondence and reports
  • Ability to plan, organize and complete assignments with minimum supervision
  • Able to efficiently prioritize and organize work and meet deadlines
