About The Position

The Eighth Judicial Circuit Court is seeking to fill a Digital Court Reporter position at the Bradford County Courthouse in Starke, Florida. This position is responsible for digitally recording and annotating court proceedings and hearings using the Open Court monitoring system; transcribing recordings; performing research; and processing requests for digitally recorded court proceedings. This is an in-office position and works under the direction of the Court Reporting Manager.

Requirements

Strong written and oral communication skills
Resourceful
Able to multi-task
Capable of prioritizing tasks assigned
Type a minimum of 55 words per minute
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
Use judgment and discretion concerning confidential information
Able to monitor and annotate live or previously recorded court proceedings which requires sitting with headphones and reviewing computer monitor for extended periods of time
High School diploma or GED
One year of college or vocational school education in office skills, computer operation or a closely related field
Two years of related work experience
