About The Position

eScribers is seeking Digital Court Reporters to support our growing workload in the Washington, D.C. area. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in building experience in digital court reporting and working in a professional legal environment. Prior digital court reporting experience is not required. Training will be provided to candidates selected for the position. Requirements

  • Must have a Windows-based computer capable of running the required reporting software and programs.
  • Must have reliable transportation and be able to travel to assignments in the Washington, D.C. area.
  • Must be willing and available to work in person in Washington, D.C., up to five days per week.
  • Be legally eligible to work in the United States.
  • Demonstrate a high degree of professionalism and reliability.
  • Have an interest in and basic understanding of legal proceedings.
  • Be comfortable learning and using technology and computer software.
  • Be able to upload and download files and perform basic computer functions.
  • Have a reliable, high-speed internet connection.
  • Be able to commit to meeting assignment and submission deadlines.
  • Have a current U.S. bank account to receive contract payments.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior digital court reporting experience is not required.

Responsibilities

  • Work in person in Washington, D.C., up to five days per week.
  • Upload and download files and perform basic computer functions.
  • Commit to meeting assignment and submission deadlines.
  • Accept assignments and work up to five days per week, based on business needs and scheduling availability.
  • Maintain excellent quality standards, reliability, and professionalism.
  • Timely submission of assignments.
