About The Position

Cricut is seeking a Digital Content Production Artist to support the production of a new content library. This role involves getting artist models into the library, ensuring their compatibility with Cricut software and machines, and maintaining quality standards as production scales. The position is ideal for someone who enjoys tackling unfamiliar challenges, developing repeatable processes, and taking ownership of their work. The artist will collaborate closely with the software team, QA lead, and other content and product partners, requiring strong communication skills to unblock team members and keep projects moving forward.

Requirements

• Strong attention to detail and pride in high-quality work.
• A design eye to distinguish between technically functional and user-appealing assets.
• Scrappy and self-directed approach to problem-solving and system development.
• Comfortable owning a process end-to-end, including tracking, documentation, and follow-through.
• Ability to drive work forward with individuals not directly reporting to them.
• Actively using AI tools and eagerness to find more automation opportunities.
• Comfortable learning new tools and adapting to a changing environment.
• Experience with tracking tools like Airtable, Workfront, or Jira.
• Solid troubleshooting mindset.
• Clear, professional communication, especially in written updates and bug reports.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with CAD design tools (Fusion 360, Blender, SolidWorks, Rhino, ZBrush, or similar).
• Interest in consumer creativity, crafting, or design.
• Cricut familiarity.
• Adobe Illustrator or Photoshop proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of day-to-day production work, ensuring models move through the pipeline and flagging issues.
• Partner with the software team for model ingestion and compatibility checks with Cricut software and machines.
• Collaborate with the QA lead to review models, confirm correct processing, and ensure quality standards are met.
• Help define and document quality standards for a new content type.
• Maintain current and accurate tracking systems for model status.
• Support taxonomy for content organization and search.
• Build and document repeatable processes, and improve them for scalability.
• Utilize AI tools to expedite repetitive production work and identify automation opportunities.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and communicate issues with tools or workflows, routing them to the appropriate personnel.
• Support testing for new features or machine launches.
• Submit clear bug reports and requests to improve internal tools and processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners to scale the team's efforts.
