About The Position
WOIO-WUAB TV (Gray Media Cleveland) is looking for an experienced journalist to join our Digital Content Producer/Assignment Desk Team. We have an immediate opening for a part-time digital content producer/assignment editor. The candidate will be required to write and post news stories to various platforms, including social media. The applicant must also communicate with various state and local agencies, speak with viewers, assign crews to breaking news stories, and coordinate live coverage. Primary job duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the information listed above.
Requirements
- Two (2) years of experience in a journalism-related field.
- Knowledge of AP style is a must.
- Ability to prioritize and address multiple projects with varying deadlines.
- Highly motivated self-starter, able to work well alone and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Nice To Haves
- A journalism degree is preferred.
