About The Position
News Channel 20/FOX Illinois has an exciting opportunity for a full-time Digital Content Lead in our newsroom. In this role, you will be required to manage real-time multi-platform journalism, shapes web and social media strategies, and guide newsroom staff to maximize audience growth and engagement.
Requirements
- 3+ years in digital journalism, news reporting, or content management
- Strong grasp of CMS platforms, SEO best practices and audience analytics tools
- Previous experience working in a team environment is a must
- A Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications or related field
- Clear Driving Record
Responsibilities
- Manage real-time multi-platform journalism
- Shape web and social media strategies
- Guide newsroom staff to maximize audience growth and engagement
- Guide daily story selection, headline framing, and real-time breaking news coverage
- Track metrics to optimize search performance, audience reach, and user engagement
- Mentor reporters and producers on digital-first publishing habits
- Coordinate web, mobile app, video, and social media output
