About The Position

The Digital Content Coordinator works with the Director of Communications & Events to bring the Foundation’s impact to life across digital channels. This hands-on role manages day-to-day social media, including audience engagement; captures and edits photo, video, and interviews from projects; writes blogs; executes paid social media campaigns; and analyzes the success of their work. The coordinator supports audience growth, engagement, fundraising, and awareness. They work closely with Foundation staff, the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC), grantees, donors, and partners and may coordinate with interns, contractors, and vendors.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and three years of related experience, or equivalent education and experience.
  • Portfolio demonstrating social content, photography and videography, short-form video editing, and writing.
  • Experience managing multiple social media channels for an organization or brand.
  • Strong writing and editing skills, including the ability to translate scientific or technical topics into clear, engaging content and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, and ChatGPT.
  • Experience with social media scheduling and management tools and paid social platforms, especially Meta Ads Manager and Google Ads.
  • Comfort conducting interviews and helping people feel natural on camera.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills, with close attention to accuracy, detail, and multiple deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence, with the ability to work independently in a remote environment and collaborate across locations.
  • Understanding of the North American Model of Conservation and the role of hunting and fishing in support of conservation.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day content creation, scheduling, and community engagement across priority social media channels.
  • Maintain a content calendar and create platform-specific posts aligned with Foundation priorities, campaigns, events, and partner commitments in collaboration with leadership and FWC.
  • Travel throughout Florida to capture photos, video, interviews, and behind-the-scenes content at projects and events.
  • Edit photos and videos, especially short-form vertical content, with captions, graphics, audio, and basic color correction.
  • Create social media and blog graphics as needed.
  • Write, edit, and publish blogs using established website templates.
  • Develop and manage paid social campaigns, including targeting, creative testing, budget pacing, monitoring, and basic reporting.
  • Monitor comments and direct messages, respond when appropriate, and escalate sensitive or technical questions.
  • Organize digital assets and maintain credits, usage rights, and accessibility requirements.
  • Track core social media metrics and use results to strengthen content.
  • Stay current on platform trends and contribute to a positive, fun, and mission-driven work environment.
