About The Position

Middle Seat is a full-service firm for progressive causes and candidates, working with campaigns, nonprofits, advocacy organizations, and causes focused on racial justice, climate action, privacy and tech policy, immigration rights, and economic justice. They are seeking a creative self-starter for a paid digital advertising internship for Fall 2026, running from August 24 to November 13, 2026. This role is available either in person at their Washington, D.C. office or remotely. Requirements

  • Excited by the idea of working for left-wing and Democratic clients doing great work on the ground
  • Enjoy the idea of testing different creative options and analyzing performance data of each testing variant
  • Technically adept and pick up new tools easily
  • Detail-oriented and organized
  • Senior, in the last year of an undergraduate program, or a recent grad
  • Committed to working for left-of-the-left political candidates and causes
  • Team player
  • Follow along with the news of the day and have a solid understanding of the U.S. political system, political campaigns, and key progressive issues (i.e. abortion, racial justice, labor, climate change, etc.)
  • Based in the United States
  • Full-time (40 hour work week) or near full-time availability

Nice To Haves

  • Background in social media management or digital advertising
  • Worked on a political campaign, advocacy organization, or nonprofit
  • Some experience in Facebook Business Manager and Google Ads
  • Fantastic writer
