About The Position

Provides medical nutrition therapy using evidence-based practice to optimize patient care. Provides consultation to the healthcare team to ensure efficient and effective nutrition care to patients. Monitors and evaluates patient care and nutrition outcomes on an ongoing basis. Educates patients, healthcare members, dietetic interns, and members of the community. Participates in ongoing process improvement activities with the Nutrition Services Department. Maintains customer service, patient-centered approach at all times when fulfilling job duties. Meets the qualifications to provide care to patients in the assigned clinical areas.

Requirements

  • Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credential or eligible to sit for the exam.
  • Bachelor's degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or a related field.
  • Completion of an accredited dietetic internship.
  • Licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Dietitian in the state of practice.
  • Strong knowledge of medical nutrition therapy and evidence-based practice.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in electronic health record systems.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree in Nutrition or a related field.
  • Experience in geriatric nutrition or long-term care.
  • Specialty certifications (e.g., CNSD, CDE).
