About The Position

Walden Behavioral Care is seeking a Dietitian to provide clinical nutrition and dietary plans under the supervision of the Director of Ambulatory Nutrition Services. This is a full-time (40 hours/week) position with benefits, fully onsite. The pay ranges from $66,000.00 to $98,000.00 depending on education and experience. License-eligible candidates are welcome.

Requirements

  • Bachelors or Master’s Degree in Dietetics or Nutrition
  • Experience with menu planning and therapeutic diets in a healthcare setting, required
  • License-eligible Dietitian with the state of MA
  • Registered Dietitian eligible with the Commission on Registration from the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND)
  • CPR Certification

Responsibilities

  • Provides clinical nutrition and meal plans in a manner consistent with the philosophy and objectives of Walden Behavioral Care
  • Provide Nutrition assessments to all patients and accurately and thoroughly document nutritional assessment and patient issues using appropriate clinical terminology.
  • Perform individual and group nutrition therapy.
  • Provide meal plan/guide outlines and work with patients towards nutrition rehabilitation.
  • Participate in treatment team planning and discharge planning.
  • Provide effective nutrition education to patients and families.
  • Communicate progress and activities related to treatment and continuing care plans on an ongoing basis to the patient, family, treatment team, referral source and other individuals involved in the patient’s care.
  • Supervise breakfast, lunch and snacks while providing meal coaching to clients, as needed.
