About The Position

The Dietitian works at Central Park Rehabilitation Hospital of Denver, a 40-bed inpatient rehabilitation facility serving patients recovering from stroke, neurological conditions, orthopedic injuries, and other complex medical needs. The facility provides interdisciplinary care and intensive therapy, using advanced rehabilitation technology and a patient-centered care model.

The Dietitian coordinates meal preparation and service with the Food Services Manager, taking patients’ general or special diets into account. The role specifies dietary requirements for patients with special restrictions or nutritional needs and integrates the hospital’s mission and Guiding Principles into daily practice.

Requirements

• Current dietitian license or certification by the Commission on Dietetics, as required by the state.
• Demonstrates an understanding of treatment costs and financial support as they relate to quality and efficiency.
• Knowledge of clinical operations and procedures.
• General computer skills, including data entry, word processing, email, and record management.
• Effective organizational and time management skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Ability to work closely and professionally with others.
• Ability to maintain quality, safety, and/or infection control standards.
• Ability to use appropriate leadership skills in delegating, organizing, and educating coworkers and staff.

Nice To Haves

• One year of experience caring for patients in a hospital setting is preferred.
