About The Position

The Dietitian plans and organizes work independently with minimal supervision. Participate in research and performance improvement studies. Conduct thorough nutrition assessments which include various factors like nutrient intake, medical history, and clinical symptoms. Utilize principles of enteral and parenteral nutrition support. Coordinate and implement medical nutrition therapy interventions and education activities. The Dietitian conducts studies to evaluate and improve operational efficiency in food and nutrition services. Apply food service management principles within a healthcare setting. Coordinate patient participation and manage nutrition programs for active-duty members. Teach various nutrition classes and programs for beneficiaries of different age groups and health conditions. Provide individualized medical nutrition therapy, including inpatient and outpatient settings. Monitor key laboratory values and adjust diet therapy accordingly. The Dietitian collaborates with physicians to personalize diet prescriptions for patients.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in nutrition and dietetics.
  • Minimum one year of specialized experience in diet therapy post-graduation.
  • Must hold a current unrestricted license as a Registered Dietitian in a recognized region.
  • Current AHA or ARC BLS Healthcare Provider certification.
  • Ability to pass a government background check/security clearance.
