About The Position

The purpose of the Dietitian position is to serve as a consultant to Ben E. Keith’s Reliance Healthcare account, ensuring that the client’s needs are met in terms of menu management, using Ben E. Keith software applications and inventory control. This role involves training new dietary managers, organizing company-wide and semi-annual menu planning meetings, installing and updating Menu Trac software, and training various personnel including Administrators, Directors of Nurses, and Distributor Sales Managers. The Dietitian will also review QA/A for facilities, work with brokers and buyers on new items and product evaluation, supervise Administrator in Training members, represent Ben E. Keith in surveys and audits, and manage clinical management for accounts. Responsibilities include evaluating clinical policies, conducting QA/A, monitoring account aspects, submitting schedules and reports, performing sanitation inspections, observing meals, evaluating kitchen equipment needs, and developing menus. The Dietitian will also serve as host to customers at food shows and plan catering experiences.

Requirements

A bachelor’s degree and completed requirements from the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics’ Knowledge Center for Registered Dietitian
Knowledge of and ability to competently use MS Office, internet and email; willingness to learn new software as needed
Valid state-issued driver’s license is required for driving to perform company business
Excellent problem solver
Good organizational skills
Good verbal and written communication skills
Ability to write reports, correspondence and communications.
Ability to effectively present information to vendors and employees in a written and/or verbal format
Excellent time management skills
Must have an understanding of customers’ needs

Responsibilities

Serve as a consultant to Ben E. Keith’s Reliance Healthcare account, ensuring client needs are met in menu management, using Ben E. Keith software applications and inventory control.
Train new dietary managers and organize regular company menu planning meetings.
Organize/conduct quarterly company wide dietary managers meeting.
Organize/conduct semi-annual menu planning meetings for company.
Install Menu Trac software at all new Reliance Healthcare accounts.
Update menu trac software for all Reliance Healthcare accounts.
Train all new dietary managers on federal, state and company rules and regulations.
Train Administrators, Directors of Nurses, Distributor Sales Managers, and others as requested by Reliance Healthcare.
Conduct training for regional meetings, quarterly and annual Administrator/Director of Nurses meeting.
Review QA/A for all Reliance Healthcare facilities.
Work with area brokers to bring new items to Reliance Healthcare accounts.
Work with BEK buyers to evaluate products for Reliance Healthcare accounts.
Supervise Administrator in Training member for 6-week rotation in dietary.
Write program goals and evaluate response for AIT student.
Represent Ben E. Keith in surveys and audits of Reliance Healthcare facilities.
Serve as team member for in-house Recovery Audit Contractor audit for all Reliance healthcare facilities.
Conduct mock survey with Administrative Service Provider team for all Reliance Healthcare accounts.
Manage OLTC survey with facility as needed.
Assist with response to 2567 reports as needed.
Follow up for compliance to plan of action.
Supervise clinical management for each Reliance Healthcare account.
Manage assignment of all clinical Registered Dietitians for Reliance Healthcare accounts.
Establish clinical management book for each Reliance Healthcare account.
Evaluate clinical policies and procedures.
Conduct routine QA/A.
Communicate and direct clinical changes throughout the Reliance Healthcare accounts.
Monitor aspects of the Reliance Healthcare account and complete special projects.
Submit weekly schedule to Administrative Service Provider’s office.
Attend monthly consultant meeting.
Manage email, telephone accounts.
Submit reports as required by BEK and Reliance Healthcare in a timely manner.
Perform routine sanitation inspection of facility.
Observe meals: includes monitoring menu compliance, resident preferences, physician order compliance, and timing of meal service.
Review findings from facility visit with administrator, Director of Nurses, Distributor Sales Manager.
Submit typed report upon exit of facility and copy to Chief Executive Officer and Director of Operations.
Evaluate equipment needs of kitchens.
Submit quotes of small and large equipment to Administrative Service Provider’s office.
Communicate with BEK buyer, local sales rep, district manager, and customer for all concerns related to foodservice management.
Develop menus with BEK corporate Registered Dietitians specifically for Reliance Healthcare customers.
Serve as host to Reliance Healthcare customers at BEK food shows.
Evaluate policies and procedures pertinent to dietary for Reliance Healthcare customers.
Plan and conduct catering experiences for open house events throughout the Reliance Healthcare accounts.
