About The Position

The dietitian - degree provides medical nutrition therapy which includes screening, assessment, developing and implementing evidence-based care plans, counselling, direction on nutrition support, and other needed nutrition interventions for patients/residents/clients. This position will work collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary health care team to create a patient/resident/client and family centered environment conducive to the provision of quality care.

Requirements

• Valid Class 5 driver's license
• Completion of an approved Dietetic Practicum Program
• Bachelor of Science in Nutrition (BSc(Nutr))
• Computer skills
• Interpersonal skills
• Organizational skills
• Time management skills
• Communication skills
• Registered/eligible for registration with the Saskatchewan College of Dietitians
• Registered/eligible for registration with the Dietitians of Canada (DC)
• Self motivated with the ability to work independently
• Knowledge in clinical nutrition
• Ability to establish effective treatment relationships with clients
• Ability to concentrate within a dynamic work environment
• Ability to assess/develop/implement/evaluate a comprehensive nutrition care plan
• Ability to work as a member of a multi-disciplinary team
• Knowledge of quality improvement initiatives

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a clinical nutrition setting is an asset
