About The Position

You’ll provide Medical Nutrition Therapy and education in an acute care setting, working with a collaborative team to enhance patient outcomes through evidence-based nutrition care. Requirements

• Credentialed as a Registered Dietitian by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR)
• Licensed by the State Dietetics Licensing/Credentialing Board, post examination, in states where applicable within company's required timeline as outlined per policy.
• Possess the necessary skills to effectively utilize Microsoft office applications, electronic medical record & diet office systems, and nutrient analysis programming

Responsibilities

• Incorporate evidence based research into practice, utilizing the NCP.
• Responsible for providing MNT including nutrition assessments, enteral and parenteral nutrition therapy management, diet modification, nutrition education, and intervention for hospitalized patients.
• Malnutrition assessment, diagnosis and treatment
• Maintain clinical competency for order writing privileges for nutrition therapy, oral supplements, and enteral and parenteral nutrition.
• Complies with guidelines as outlined within the Company Diet Manual and the Clinical Nutrition Policies & Procedures Manual.
• Ensures patient satisfaction, quality care, regulatory compliance, and good public relations are achieved through the safe and efficient use of resources.
