About The Position

According to established hospital and departmental policies and procedures, the clinical registered dietitian (RD) uses advanced clinical skills and critical thinking, review of data from the patient's medical and other healthcare professionals, to perform the nutrition care process. The RD performs in depth nutrition assessment to determine the nutrition diagnosis. Appropriate nutrition intervention is recommended. The dietitian frequently calculates parenteral and enteral nutrition based on assessed needs and makes recommendations. The dietitian must monitor and evaluate the nutrition care plan, determines when resolved or makes another recommendation for improvement in nutritional status. The duties of the dietitian are technical and complex in nature and require advanced skill sets with coordination of care with physician, nurse, pharmacist, and other health professionals. The RD must also be able to provide best educational opportunity for individual, group practice, and community.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nutrition
  • Licensed Dietitian and Registered Dietitian within 9 months.
  • Basic Life Support certification

Nice To Haves

  • Certified in Nutrition Support, Diabetes, Pediatrics, or Renal.
