About The Position
Atlantic Health System offers outpatient nutrition services designed to help patients achieve a healthy, satisfying, and sustainable way of eating that fits individual lifestyles and food preferences. Our teams of registered dietitians are experts in medical nutrition therapy, diabetes education, preventative medicine, behavioral change strategies, adult and child weight management, integrative medicine and mindfulness training, and the latest nutrition research. With the aid of these tactics, they provide one-on-one nutrition counseling for patients looking to manage an existing condition or those who want to be proactive about their health.

Responsibilities
- Assesses the nutrition status of patients on appropriate biochemical, anthropometric, physical, and dietary data
- Performs nutrition counseling and education to patients and/or family members.
- Maintains quality assurance and evaluates compliance with corporate policies and procedures and State and Federal guidelines.
- Develops and participates in educational sessions for staff to increase nutritional knowledge and improve patient care.
- Maintains accurate records to meet regulatory agency guidelines and assists in statistical analysis of data and actions plans for performance improvement initiatives
- Participates in the efforts of department PI projects and clinical nutrition programs.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
