About The Position

Take the next step in your career with Morrison Healthcare as a Clinical Dietitian in Kingston, NY! This position is located at Morrison Healthcare at Health Alliance St. Mary's Avenue, a 100-bed Community Hospital. The schedule involves 2 full days on either Saturday or Sunday, plus 2-4 hour shifts per week. The hospital has an Intensive Care Unit, medical-surgical floors, and a behavioral health unit. Other responsibilities include remotely assessing patients at a Critical Access Hospital and/or reviewing notes from a Long Term Care Facility. The hourly pay is $40/hr, equating to $33,280 yearly. As a Clinical Dietitian, you will make a real impact by providing Medical Nutrition Therapy and education in an acute care setting, working with a collaborative team to enhance patient outcomes through evidence-based nutrition care.

Requirements

  • Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) or CDR exam eligible
  • Licensed Dietitian (or willing to obtain) in the state of practice as applicable
  • Healthcare experience preferred—new graduates with strong clinical training are encouraged to apply

Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive nutritional assessments and develop individualized care plans to promote recovery and improve health outcomes.
  • Provide guidance on nutrition and lifestyle strategies to support sustainable, long-term wellness to patients, families, staff, and the community.
  • Apply the latest research in alignment with the diet manual, company policies, and facility protocols to ensure high-quality, consistent care.
  • Contribute to QAPI initiatives aimed at advancing patient care and clinical excellence.
  • Partner with the food service management team to help achieve patient satisfaction and service goals.
  • Support the growth of staff and dietetic interns through education and training as applicable.
