About The Position

Under limited supervision, this role collaborates with healthcare team members to provide optimal nutrition care to patients at high nutrition risk, utilizing independent knowledge and clinical skills. The position involves attending rounds and acting as a professional resource for the healthcare team, nutritionists, dietetic interns, and technicians to support their development. The role also requires working within a matrix organization to identify resources for patients and the division to support the nutrition needs of the program, along with other assigned duties.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Food and Nutrition, Dietetics or related field.
  • Registration by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, Commission on Dietetics Registration (CDR).
  • Current licensure in the state of Maryland as a Dietitian/Nutritionist.
  • Clinical experience as a Registered Dietitian at a hospital facility.
  • Commitment to working independently and building a strong, successful nutrition program within the Division of Pediatric GI.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience during in non-hospital facility especially within Pediatric or GI related areas/populations.
  • Prior completion of a Specialty Fellowship Program or Specialty Certification: e.g. CNSC, CDE, CSR, CSP, CSO, IBCLC.

Responsibilities

  • Identifies resources for patients and division to support the nutrition needs of the program.
