About The Position

Under limited supervision, the Dietitian collaborates with members of the healthcare team and may be required to attend rounds. This role independently provides optimal nutrition care to patients at high nutrition risk, leveraging their knowledge and clinical skills. The Dietitian will also work as part of the team to participate in education, training, and serve as a professional resource to other healthcare team members, nutritionists, dietetic interns, and dietetic technicians to foster their professional development. Additionally, the position involves working within a matrix organization to identify resources for patients and the division to support the nutrition needs of the program, along with other assigned duties.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Food and Nutrition, Dietetics or related field
Registration by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, Commission on Dietetics Registration (CDR)
Current licensure in the state of Maryland as a Dietitian/Nutritionist
Clinical experience as a Registered Dietitian at a hospital facility (will consider experience in non-hospital facilities, especially within Pediatric or GI related areas/populations)
Prior completion of a Specialty Fellowship Program or Specialty Certification (e.g., CNSC, CDE, CSR, CSP, CSO, IBCLC)
Commitment to working independently and building a strong, successful nutrition program within the Division of Pediatric GI

Responsibilities
