About The Position

Sodexo has an outstanding opportunity for a Full Time Registered Dietitian Nutritionist to join their dynamic clinical team at The Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital, located in Valencia, CA (Los Angeles Metro area). Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital is a 357-bed comprehensive trauma center, not-for-profit community hospital. Compensation is fair and equitable, partially determined by a candidate's education level or years of relevant experience. Salary offers are based on a candidate's specific criteria, like experience, skills, education, and training.

Requirements

• A valid Registered Dietitian (RD) credential with at least 2 years of experience in an acute care setting
• Familiarity with Joint Commission, Title 22, and California regulatory standards preferred
• Strong organizational, communication, time‑management, and customer service skills
• Self‑directed, flexible professional who collaborates effectively with physicians, nursing, and ancillary staff, with a focus on outcomes
• Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire.
• Certification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive nutrition assessments, reassessments, and consultations to identify nutritional risk across diverse inpatient populations
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized nutrition care plans; document interventions and outcomes in Meditech EMR
• Deliver patient‑ and family‑centered nutrition education to support therapeutic diets and informed food choices
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team during rounds to assess needs and recommend diet modifications
• Assist with nutrition training for Patient Ambassadors and participate in community outreach to support patient experience and wellness initiative
