About The Position

PeaceHealth is seeking a Dietitian I - Nutrition Services for a Per Diem/Relief, Day position. The salary range for this job opening at PeaceHealth is $32.32 - $48.48. The hiring rate is dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to education, training, work experience, terms of any applicable collective bargaining agreement, seniority, etc. Job Summary This position is responsible for coordinating all aspects of nutrition care, consulting with other healthcare professionals as needed. Details of the Position: Competent use of the Nutrition Care Process including nutrition assessment, identification of nutritional diagnosis, implementation of appropriate nutrition intervention, and formulation of patient specific goals, monitoring, evaluation, and follow up of oues. Using evidence-based nutrition practice guidelines, will provide nutrition education to patients and families in the outpatient and/or inpatient settings. Provides consult services to other healthcare providers and participates in the interdisciplinary team. Documents in the EMR in accordance with policies, procedures and regulations. When appropriate, makes referrals to other services, agencies andmunity resources. Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree Required: in a related field of study. Caregivers who earned their RD license before 1/1/2024 when a bachelor's degree was sufficient will be grandfatd.
  • Required: Successfulpletion of AND approved internship/training program
  • Required: within 180 days Registered Dietitian Required at hire or must pass Registration Exam and
  • May be required: Certified Dietitian - Washington Required for Outpatient Dietitians in WA. Inpatient Dietitians are not required to maintain state certification in WA. or
  • May be required: Licensed Dietitian - Oregon Required for Outpatient and PHMG/Ambulatory Dietitians in OR. Inpatient Dietitians are not required to maintain state certification in OR. or
  • Required: Registered Dietitian - Alaska Required for all Dietitians in AK and
  • May be required: Current Medicare provider status number
  • Demonstrated skill in teaching adults and pediatrics of varyingpetency levels. (Required)
  • Must be able to design, implement, and evaluate instructional materials. (Required)
  • Excellent verbal and writtenmunication skills. (Required)
  • Ability to interact with a variety of departments and work independently on numerous projects simultaneously. (Required)
  • Proficient in the use ofputers including MS Office applications. (Required)
  • Demonstrated knowledge of and ability to age specific principles of growth and development and life stages to meet each patient's needs. (Required)
