Evaluates, assesses and plans nutrition care specific to outpatients of all ages. Additionally, provides nutrition information to staff, physicians, students and the community individually and through group programs. This role involves developing patient-centered treatment plans, completing comprehensive nutrition assessments, and managing workload and processes to meet patient care and diabetes office needs. The position also requires managing insurance and charge requirements, completing hospital and departmental requirements, and participating in hospital and/or departmental initiatives/special projects. The incumbent is expected to take responsibility for their own professional development and pursue continuing education to develop and maintain DSME/T knowledge and skills, while maintaining a level of productivity that supports patient access and office needs.
