About The Position

This is a contract position for a Dietician in a long-term care facility in Minot, ND. The role involves conducting comprehensive nutritional assessments, developing and implementing individualized nutrition care plans, monitoring resident outcomes, and collaborating with interdisciplinary care teams. The Dietician will also provide nutrition education to residents, families, and staff, and maintain accurate documentation. The position is for a 13-week duration with a possible extension, working day shifts for 40 hours per week.

Requirements

Minimum of 2 years of experience.
Credentialed as a Registered Dietitian by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) or eligible for registration.
Licensed as a Registered Dietitian in North Dakota (ND).
If eligible, must obtain and hold a limited license in ND and within 6 months of hire date must obtain RD status by CDR credentialing.

Nice To Haves

Experience with Cerner EMR.
Stroke Certified Facility experience.

Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive nutritional assessments using clinical data, laboratory values, weight trends, and disease-specific guidelines.
Develop, implement, and adjust individualized nutrition care plans, including therapeutic diets, supplementation, enteral feeding, and hydration strategies.
Monitor resident outcomes and modify interventions in response to medical changes.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure coordinated, compliant, and resident-centered nutrition services.
Provide targeted nutrition education to residents, families, and staff to support disease management and diet adherence.
Maintain accurate, timely documentation and support audits, surveys, and quality improvement initiatives.
Contribute to community outreach and consultative services through education and professional expertise.
