About The Position

Spectrum Healthcare Resources has a potential opportunity for a Clinical Dietetic Technician for C.W. Bill Young VA Medical Center, Bay Pines FL. The purpose is to provide Clinical Dietetic Technician services onsite in support of the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Bay Pines Veterans Affairs Medical Center.

Requirements

• DTR Certification OR bachelor's degree / 24+ semester hours in a nutrition-related field required
• Hospital food service experience: tray assembly, delivery, and diet order processing
• Therapeutic diet knowledge: IDDSI, Renal, Diabetic, Cardiac, and Medical Nutrition Therapy
• Ability to stand/walk up to 8 hours and lift up to 35 lbs
• Rotating day and evening shifts, 7 days/week including federal holidays (Day: 5:30 AM to 4:00 PM range; Evening: 10:30 AM to 7:30 PM range)

Responsibilities

• Provides professional and courteous customer service via telephone, email
• Prints, prepares, and reviews meal tickets for assigned area(s)
• Correctly interprets diet activity and patient information to ensure patients requests and preferences, and current therapeutic diet order.
