Requirements
- Registered Dietitian Nutritionists (RDNs) must hold at least a graduate degree from an ACEND-accredited program
- Complete over 1,000 hours of supervised practice
- Pass the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) national exam
- Maintain continuing education
Responsibilities
- Conduct patient nutritional assessments
- Developing personalized meal plans
- Providing counseling
- Monitoring progress
- Managing food services
- Educating the public or specialized groups on healthy eating
