About The Position

Caring Place Healthcare Group is seeking a dedicated Dietetic Technician to join their resident-centered care team. This role involves assisting the Dietitian in identifying residents’ dietary needs, implementing dietary programs, and communicating nutritional needs to relevant parties. The position requires maintaining dietary assessments and care plans, promoting a supportive environment, and adhering to various guidelines including infection control, safety, sanitation, and HIPAA. The Dietetic Technician will also participate in educational opportunities and team meetings, support the care team, and perform other assigned duties to promote resident dignity, comfort, and well-being.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited college or university with a major in food or nutrition.
• Current Registered Dietetic Technician (DTR) credential.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Compassion, professionalism, and a positive attitude when working with residents and families.
• Ability to remain calm in stressful or emotionally challenging situations.
• Physical ability to perform duties that require standing, walking, bending, and assisting residents as needed.
• Commitment to resident dignity, safety, and well-being.

Nice To Haves

• One year of long-term care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Dietitian in identifying residents’ dietary needs and implementing dietary programs.
• Communicate residents’ nutritional and therapeutic dietary needs with families, staff, and healthcare professionals.
• Complete and maintain dietary assessments, care plans, and progress notes in accordance with regulations.
• Promote a calm, supportive, and caring environment for residents and staff.
• Follow infection control, safety, sanitation, and HIPAA guidelines.
• Participate in in-service programs, educational opportunities, and team meetings.
• Support the care team and perform other duties as assigned.
• Promote dignity, comfort, and well-being.
