About The Position

Miracle Kids Success Academy (MKSA) & Kids Unlimited Learning Academy (KULA) is an early intervention day treatment clinic for children with special needs. We are searching for a dependable, energetic, driven and talented Dietary Tech to join our team! MKSA/KULA provides high-quality, compassionate care to children from birth to Kindergarten, helping them prepare for meaningful lives. The clinic serves children with documented developmental disabilities or delays who may require services such as fine motor, gross motor, speech-language, hearing, feeding, developmental, cognitive, and medical support. The treatment team, including licensed therapists, nurses, and psychologists, works collaboratively with families to meet each child's needs. Services are typically for children from birth to Kindergarten, with potential expansion to elementary school-aged children during the summer. The Dietary Tech plays a crucial role in preparing and delivering meals and snacks to the children.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with a wide variety of people.
  • Must be able to work with children birth to age 18 and families who are at risk.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Basic computer skills which includes a working knowledge of database, word processing, spreadsheet, and Internet software.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a very busy environment.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide, in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Nice To Haves

  • At least one year of successful experience in a classroom setting working with developmentally at-risk children or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares and delivers snacks and lunches to each treatment room at designated times.
  • Prepares breakfast, lunch, and snacks daily for an average enrollment of 51-75 patients.
  • Delivers food/snacks to each treatment room.
  • Washes all dishes and/or utensils used during food preparation.
  • Keeps kitchen and break room, including appliances, neat and clean.
  • Cleans and defrosts milk box.
  • Keeps accurate temperature logs on refrigerator(s) in kitchen and/or break room daily.
  • Ensures that employee food items are not in the refrigerator used to refrigerate patient food.
  • Places orders with designated vendor and stocks orders when received.
  • Labels all food items with date received before stocking.
  • Keeps inventory of all items stocked.
  • Delivers weekly menus to each treatment room.
  • Posts weekly menu on Parent Board.
  • Wears hairnet any time food is being prepared and ensures that any staff entering the kitchen during preparation of food is also wearing a hair net.
  • Wears gloves any time handling food.
